Mix Camp Sites, Hotel Rooms, and Condominium Rentals

The RDP system allows a mix of camp sites, RV sites, hotel rooms, condominium rentals, and boat slip rentals.  System reports can be separated by rental type or combined. Short Term and Long Term Reservations

The software allows a mix of short term and long term campsite reservations. Short term reservations can automatically calculate rates for each day for different campsites with full yield management capabilities.  Long term reservations can automatically post rent daily or once a month.  Leases can be printed using Crystal Reports.  Other reservation related features include:

Internet Reservations with Site Map

RDP's Internet Reservation Module (IRM) allows millions of potential guests, groups, travel agents, and wholesalers to check availability and make commission-free campsite reservations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.   The IRM is designed to work in conjunction with your existing marketing website.  Reservations are stored immediately in the same database as phone-in reservations, with one database for true last room availability.

An Interactive Campground Map can be displayed on the Internet showing the location of all campsites.  Internet guests can click on any site to check availability and show rates.

Interactive Map

The Interactive Map feature displays a map of your property with each site as a "hot spot." The example below shows a campground, however the interactive map could also be used to show available homes or condominiums.   The guest can view if the site is available based on their arrival and departure dates. The site can change colors based on the availability. Once a suitable site is found, the guest can continue with online booking using the Internet Reservations Module (IRM.Net).

Features of the Interactive Map include:

• Descriptions of each site's features such as hookup, length of vehicle, and another important information
• Include pictures or virtual tours of each site
• Hover over each site to view the rates for the arrival date selected
• Zone features and easy navigation across the entire map
• Full control of placement of site "hot spots"
• Link directly to IRM.Net and marketing website
• Change color of "hot spot" if site not available
• Site directory with ability to search by site number

Requirements: A map image of your property is required. For large properties, the map must be a Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) file to allow for maximum zooming capabilities.

Sell Campground Guests Additional Items (Virtual Store)

The Virtual Store module is incorporated into the Internet Reservation module, allowing guests to purchase additional items along with their reservation. This module is designed to help maximize the positive guest experience while generating additional incidental revenue. Guests are able to log back into their account to add these items at any time. Generate a complete itinerary to present to the guest when items are purchased or booked.  Virtual Store items can include:

Boat Slip Availability Tracking and Rental

RDP has full boat slip availability tracking and rental capabilities. Reservations can be short term with a daily rate, or long term with a monthly rent. A reservation tape chart is integrated into RDP, allowing for reservations to be made or changed directly from the slip space on the Tape Chart.

In addition to boat slips, availability for any other rentable items on property such as golf carts, storage units, etc. can be tracked.

Electric Meter Billing & Other Guest Charges

The system automatically bills the guest for site rental each day (short term reservations) or monthly.  Additional charges can be automatically added for items such as electric usage, internet connectivity, etc.  Electric meter readings can be stored in the system with various reports to show electric usage and costs. 

Work Order & Asset Management

RDP offers an extensive Work Order and Asset Management system that is extremely useful for campgrounds.  All guest requests for each site can be tracked.  Additionally, all assets such as trucks, golf carts, pool heaters, etc. can be tracked by VIN, serial or part number.  The Work Order Monitor screen displays the current status of all work orders and auto-refreshes as work orders are added, changed, or closed.  Maintenance personnel can be automatically notified of new work orders via text message or e-mail to a mobile device.

Wireless Internet Access & Billing

High-speed Internet access has gone from a "nice benefit" to a "requirement" for many campers with luxury RVs.  The question is not “if” a campground should deploy high-speed Internet access, but "how to" do it in a cost effective and profitable manner.  RDP has partnered with RoomLinx to provide a turnkey solution for wireless access and billing.  Charges for Internet access can be charged by credit card or posted to the guest folio automatically.

Search by RV Length, Rig Type, Electric, Hookup, and More

The system can search and display available sites by a wide variety of criteria, including:

• RV Length
• Hookup (left/right)
• Rig Type (RV, trailer, tent, etc.)
• Electrical Connection (20/30/50 amp)
• Slide Out Available (Yes/No)

Mobile Devices for Campground Management

RDP offers mobile device capability designed to improve communication with guests and employees. Some of these features include guest text messaging, mobile check-in, work order tracking, and management reporting. These features work with any mobile-ready device such as iPhone, Droid, iPad, or any other smart phone or tablet.
